Expert pelvic floor physical therapy in Avon, CT. Specializing in pelvic pain, pregnancy, and postpartum care.
Addressing symptoms at the source, helping you return to what you love with confidence and ease
Expert 1:1 Care

Mind-Body Treatment
I specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy for women experiencing pelvic pain, incontinence, and pregnancy or postpartum concerns.
Because symptoms often arise from areas beyond the pelvis itself, treatment may also address contributing factors involving the hips, low back, SI joint, nervous system, and more.
Sometimes the pelvic floor is the missing link in persistent pelvic or orthopedic pain.

Why Care Here Feels Different
ONE-ON-ONE, 55 MINUTE SESSIONS
55 minute, one-to-one appointments with a doctorate level physical therapist. No aides observing you exercise or unnecessary modalities used during your treatment time.
TREATMENT TAILORED TO YOU
Your treatment is individualized based on what is found during your assessment and how your body responds over time. No generic exercise sheets or one-size-fits-all care.
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
Ongoing hands-on assessment helps ensure treatment stays individualized, effective, and responsive to your symptoms.
INTEGRATING THE WHOLE BODY INTO PELVIC FLOOR CARE
The pelvic floor does not work in isolation. It functions together with the core, breathing muscles, hips, and spine, making whole-body integration an important part of effective treatment.
Meet Your Therapist
I’m Emily Parkes, founder of Emily Parkes Pelvic Health
(license currently under Emily Clausi)—a practice grounded in pelvic health expertise, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to understanding the “why” behind symptoms and how the body’s systems interact.
With a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and advanced training in pelvic health, chronic pain, and psychologically informed techniques, I help patients return to what they love with confidence and ease.
My approach focuses on understanding the body as an interconnected system. I look at how the pelvic floor works with the hips, spine, and core, as well as how the nervous system influences pain, tension, and movement patterns. Whether you’re navigating pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, or other pelvic floor concerns, care is individualized and centered on addressing the underlying drivers of symptoms, not just where they show up.
